“Hello! My name is Jack. I’m an autistic, whale and marine life loving adult and an AAC user from Ontario, Canada. My dream is to someday go whale watching in B.C to see Orcas and Humpbacks up close and personal.

I live with my beautiful mom, Laurie, as I have moderate to high support needs and that is totally OK!

Everyday we work on ways of giving me as much independence as possible and having access to AAC has drastically helped me reduce my frustration around being misunderstood or not being able to communicate my needs, especially in times of stress.

I am so excited and so grateful to be partnering with Born Anxious to continue to raise awareness for ALL communication and inclusion for everyone!

Whales use a series of clicks, beautiful songs, and squeaks to communicate to each other, just as we use sign language, AAC, verbal communication and body language!

We are ALL valid and ALL communication matters! ”
