Adult Therapy Bears

Swearing is the most expressive form of language and what better way to express on ourselves when little ears are not around, I personally love a good old swear it’s a stress buster .

Parents and carers of children with disabilities are not always having the most fun all the time, it can be tough, testing on your patience and stressful. It’s also life long, so I’m pretty sure we deserve sometime to ourselves to have a good old swear up. It can relieve stress and it gives us a chance to express ourselves .

Children with additional needs tend to express behaviours when they need us most; times of Frustration and emotional or sensory regulation. This can be extremely draining and take a certain amount of energy. It’s important to me to see the humorous side because this is life long, no one is coming. It’s so important to hold on to the person I was before and celebrate her, tell her she’s doing great so she doesn’t get lost forever .

Swear bears are exclusive to born anxious and launch with a few designs to start and we will be taking suggestions. We feel this is a great adult therapy tool and some fun just for us.

We appreciate this is outside of our usual be kind ethos but it is all in good fun, it’s a pick me up to make the adults smile .

The swear bears will not be visible on the website only by drop down menu to keep out of little eyes view and will also be available via Etsy and tik tok shop .

Born anxious remains positive about inclusion and acceptance and awareness of Autism and Neurodivergence and we are expressing many messages by lived experience. One thing we want to do is keep it real, which is why we have created the bears, for adults not children.
