Here is a rebellion against the word ‘disorder’. The term Autism Spectrum Disorder can be viewed as offensive for those with Autism and their parents and carers, as it implies something is missing, gone wrong, not working or quite right. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In our belief, to celebrate differences and neurodiversity, there is no disorder here. Things are just peachy over here, thanks. We are not disordered, we work perfectly fine and we celebrate our differences and celebrate our skills .
RUN ASC is a design for those who prefer to use the medical term condition in replacement for disorder, it is more respectful.
